How Do I Fix the Warped/Curved Photos from my Phantom 2 Vision?

Here is a quick reference for those of you who would like to get rid of that curved earth look on your Phantom 2 Vision still shots.

Adobe has released a beta lens profile for the DJI Phantom 2 Vision camera to remove lens distortion. The official profile will be released in December. Follow the instructions below to download the beta lens profile and give it a try. 

Instructions:
1. Download the lens profile HERE, and unzip it.

2. Put the file PHANTOM VISION FC200.lcp into the folder shown below:

Mac

/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0/


Windows

C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0 3. Open PHOTOSHOP, select Filter.

 

 

3. Open PHOTOSHOP, select Filter. 


4. Select Lens Correction -Camera Make - Select DJI.

 


5. Select Camera Model - PHANTOM VISION FC200.

    You don’t need the profile if you want to do this manually. It’s pretty easy. Open the image in Photoshop Elements or Photoshop, go to Filter in the menu bar and (for Photoshop Elements 11) select Correct Lens Distortion. I have done it in Photoshop CS4 and it’s under Filter again but I forget the rest of the path. Should be easy to find though.

    hi , but for those who only had old version of photoshop v6 it doesn’t work ? why not to get a small independant soft to correct this effect without purchasing expansive soft as photoshop ?

    I don’t see the lens profile on DJI’s download page. Where exactly is it on the download page?

    The new profile can only be found within Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Creative Cloud.
